In 2017, I began my studies at the KU Leuven Faculty of Architecture. During our assignments, we often had to build models, which took an immense amount of time. Fortunately, our faculty had a solution: a laser cutter. As students, we were allowed to use it, significantly reducing the amount of manual cutting required.
Captivated by that beautiful machine, we decided to build one of our own with the help of my handy partner in crime Timothy. What started as a mini machine in our basement quickly grew into a passion and a larger machine. Tim and I created our first items and gradually started selling them. We moved from the basement to the attic, to the garden shed, to our first rented warehouse, and now to our workshop on Doortstraat in Opwijk.
Our products caught the interest of the events sector, leading to collaborations with wedding and event planners. This new direction brought me the most satisfaction as we worked together to create beautiful events. The graphic skills I had partly learned at university allowed me to create my own style at Visuall and use it in various comprehensive concepts.
Now in my second year of working full-time on Visuall, we continuously strive to grow and improve.
We have already come a long way, and we are proud of it! Here’s to many more years of Visuall!
